lintfm.com is Birdie's little scrapbook of pictures, videos, and odds and ends, where people with an account can post too. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site collects and what happens to it. The short version: very little, only what's needed for the site to work, and it's never sold.
What the site collects
- Posts. The pictures and words you post, and when you posted them. These are shown publicly on the site (once they're approved, for new accounts).
- Your profile. Your nickname, handle, and bio, who you follow, and which posts you like. These are shown publicly: your profile page shows how many followers you have and how many people you follow, and posts show how many likes they have.
- Comments. The comments you write (you need to be signed in), and when you wrote them. These are shown publicly on the site, with your nickname.
- Signing in. If you sign in with Google, Twitch, or Discord, the site receives and keeps your display name, your profile picture, and an account number from that service. It does not get your password, and it does not ask for your email from those services. If you sign in with email, your email address is kept so you can sign in again, and it's never shown publicly.
- Sign-in codes. When you ask for an email code, a scrambled copy of the code is kept for up to 10 minutes, then deleted.
- Site statistics. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views, the pages visited, the website you came from, and your general device type. It doesn't use cookies or track you across other websites.
Cookies and saved info in your browser
- If you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Signing out removes it.
- There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts the site and its data, and provides the statistics.
- Resend sends sign-in code emails.
- Google, Twitch, and Discord, only if you choose to sign in with one of them.
Your information is never sold or shared for advertising.
Keeping and removing your info
Posts, comments, and sign-in details are kept until they're removed. You can edit or delete your own posts and comments anytime while signed in. To have your sign-in details deleted, or to ask what the site has about you, email contact@birdiefm.com.
Kids
The site isn't meant for children under 13, and it doesn't knowingly collect their information.
